William Scott Myles was a Scottish painter of landscapes, rural scenes and still life of fish (in which his work is somewhat reminiscent of the of the earlier Scottish painter William Geddes 1841-1881) and some portraits. He was born in Forfar and lived and worked in Broughty Ferry, on the shores of the Firth of Tay a few miles east of Dundee before moving to Arbroath a bit further up the coast...
